On Sunday, October 20th we celebrated CDA Sunday. This is always the 3rd Sunday of October and celebrated by all courts in the world established since 1903. That is a lot of celebrating, don't your think? 1903, 121 years of women growing in spirituality, working in faithful service and love for God. There is currently over 63,000 who hold membership in The Catholic Daughters of the Americas. May God continue to move in the hearts of women and abundantly bless CDA through the sharing of their gifts.
We, St. Paul Court #1434, began the morning with Mass. Fr. McIntyre acknowledged our work and encouraged ladies in the congregation to join this ministry that has been part of SBCC for nearly 80 years. Afterwards, we gathered at our new St. Joseph Cafe' for fellowship and refreshments.
The members were surprised with the beautiful new stoles we had made to wear at masses, rosaries, funerals and other group gatherings. We had been talking about these for many years and finally got it done. Beautiful!
Such a great morning but what topped it off was the three beautiful ladies we added to our roster. We welcome Amy Duplechien Scrantz, Ruther Jeter and Merci Oubre.
